Profit Calculator

Rank best farming stages by clear speed

The Profit Calculator ranks all 42 farming stages in Task Bar Hero by expected hourly returns — gold, experience, and chest drop value. Enter your hero level, EXP/gold bonuses, and calibrate with the stage you can clear most reliably; the calculator extrapolates per-stage clear times from your benchmark and outputs a sorted ranking. Stages with higher base rewards but slower clears drop in rank; quick clears with modest payouts rise. Use this to decide where to spend your stamina and avoid wasting time on inefficient stages. Numbers update live as you adjust bonuses or calibration.

⚠ You MUST calibrate with your highest stable clear. Without it, rankings are meaningless.

Calibration

1-1 is the baseline (required). Then add your highest stable clear. Without it, rankings are fake.

How it works

Box Cooldown — Boxes have an internal cooldown (exact duration TBD). Farming too fast may yield fewer than shown. Currently calculated without CD cap.

Box EV — Expected Value = Σ(drop_rate × market_price). Prices fetched from Steam Community Market.

Normal vs Boss Box — Normal boxes drop per wave, Boss boxes only on boss waves. Boss boxes are rarer but higher quality.

Market $/hr — Theoretical income = (NormalEV × normal/hr) + (BossEV × boss/hr). Only Legendary+ is tradeable.

EXP Penalty — Over-leveling a stage drastically reduces EXP gain. Red = severe penalty.

Calibration — DPS model: clear_time = HP/DPS + waves × wave_time. More points = better accuracy.

Profit Calculator FAQ

How does the Task Bar Hero Profit Calculator choose the best farming stage?

It combines hero level, EXP and gold bonuses, chest drop bonuses, and your clear-time calibration, then ranks stages by gold per hour, EXP per hour, boxes per hour, or estimated Steam market value.

Why should I enter my highest stable clear?

A 1-1 baseline alone cannot model later-stage clear speed. Adding your highest reliable stage lets the calculator fit DPS and wave time more accurately.

Is market value per hour the same as guaranteed income?

No. Market value per hour is an expected-value estimate based on chest drops and Steam Community Market prices, so real results vary with RNG, tradeable rarity, fees, and price movement.
